About Cherokee Industrial Fabricators, LTD

Cherokee Industrial Fabricators, LTD. was founded in 1979 by Tutt and Rebecca Oliver. We started in a 1,200 sq ft. facility with 8 employees growing to 26 when the industry was thriving in Lufkin. We now employ 12 employees. In 1984 we expanded our facility and occupy 16,250 sq ft. on 4 acres.

Cherokee has the capabilities & equipment for all your welding, forming, cutting. We use Autocad software for drawing and for use with Vicon Model 2000 6’x12’ High Definition CNC Plasma Cutting System. We have various Miller welding machines for tig, mig & stick welding. 10’ x ¼” Hydraulic Plate Shear, various Plate Rolls, Band Saw, 70 Ton Piranha Iron Workers, 230 Ton Cincinnati Hydraulic Press Brake with 12’ dies, Miller Zip-cut 3/8” capacity DC Plasma Cutting system, Miller 7/8” Capacity DC Plasma Cutting System, 5 Ton Forklift.

Welding capabilities are Mig, Tig & Stick in aluminum, stainless steel & carbon steel

Cherokee has the ability to be mobile with trucks, variety of bumper and gooseneck trailers, 8000lb reach lift, welding machines, Miller 7/8” capacity Portable DC Plasma Cutting System, Portable Victor Cutting units, Portable Lifting & Rigging Equipment, Milwaukee & Bosch Cutting and Drilling Equipment, Rigid pipe threading up to 2”, rigid roll grooving up to 10”

Cherokee strives for safety in the shop and in the field. We conduct monthly and as needed safety meetings. We abide by customers rules and regulations when in the field. All our employees complete CPR & First aid classes thru the American Red Cross every 2 years. Our current EMR .89.
